Compliance You Can Count On

Our crews most commonly provide Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and 1200-C permit development, Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL) services, Best Management Practice (BMP) installation, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan support, site stabilization, and mitigation and monitoring services for transmission and distribution, substation, pipeline, solar, and other utility projects across the Pacific Northwest. We understand the unique demands and safety requirements of the work, and are equipped to meet them.

PGE Willamette Falls — Portland, OR

Riparia Environmental supported vegetation clearing efforts at the PGE Willamette Falls Paper Company site to facilitate soil sampling and improve overall site management.

Our team mowed dense Himalayan blackberry and other overgrown vegetation within targeted areas of the paper mill. Vegetation was mulched, raked, and redistributed onsite in designated locations to minimize waste and support site conditions. To address regrowth, we applied pre-emergent herbicide treatments following initial clearing. A follow-up visit was conducted 4–6 weeks later to treat any regrowth, ensuring more effective long-term vegetation control. All applications were performed by licensed aquatic herbicide applicators.

Specific Tasks Included: Vegetation Clearing, Mechanical Mowing, Mulching & Debris Management, Herbicide Application, Regrowth Treatment
